NHL Fantasy Hockey: 10 Saturday Streamers to Target

NHL Fantasy streaming options for Saturday, October 3, 2026.

Looking for a short-term fantasy boost? Here are 10 players available in many leagues who could help you on Saturday.

Saturday brings a massive 13-game NHL slate, which means there are plenty of opportunities to find useful streaming options. Whether you need a forward, a defenseman or a goaltender, these are 10 players worth checking on your waiver wire before puck drop.

1. Mason Marchment β€” LW β€” San Jose Sharks

Rostered: 30% | Stream Rating: πŸ”₯πŸ”₯πŸ”₯

Marchment is an intriguing Saturday streamer because of the opportunity he’s receiving in San Jose. He’s skating alongside Macklin Celebrini and Will Smith, giving him exposure to two of the Sharks’ most dangerous offensive players. He had a goal in his Sharks debut on Thursday so look for him to continue to chip in offensively

The Add List Take: If you’re looking for upside, this is one of the first names I’d check. Playing with Celebrini and Smith gives Marchment a path to points even if you’re only using him for one night.

2. Luke Evangelista β€” LW/RW β€” New Jersey Devils

Rostered: 39% | Stream Rating: πŸ”₯πŸ”₯πŸ”₯

Evangelista has landed in a very interesting situation with New Jersey. He’s skating on the second line alongside Nico Hischier and Timo Meier, while also seeing time on the Devils’ top power-play unit. NHL.com identified him as one of its early waiver-wire targets after he recorded three points in two preseason games.

The Add List Take: This is more than just a one-night streamer. The combination of second-line minutes, talented linemates and power-play opportunity makes Evangelista someone fantasy managers should keep an eye on beyond Saturday.

3. Roman Kantserov β€” RW β€” Chicago Blackhawks

Rostered: 14% | Stream Rating: πŸ”₯πŸ”₯

Kantserov is one of the more interesting rookie streamers on Saturday. Chicago has given the young forward an opportunity early in the season, and his offensive skill makes him particularly interesting in leagues that reward goals, assists and shots.

The Add List Take: At only 17% rostered, Kantserov is exactly the type of player we’re looking for in a Saturday streaming article. There is some risk with a rookie, but the upside is significant enough to make him worth a look in deeper leagues.

4. Anton Frondell β€” C β€” Chicago Blackhawks

Rostered: 44% | Stream Rating: πŸ”₯πŸ”₯

Frondell is another Chicago rookie worth considering. He’s already getting meaningful NHL opportunity, and his combination of skill and offensive upside makes him an intriguing short-term play. At 50% rostered, he’s obviously less available than some of the other names on this list, but he’s worth checking if he’s sitting on your league’s waiver wire.

The Add List Take: Frondell is getting close to the point where he won’t qualify as a streamer in many leagues. If he’s still available, this is a good time to take advantage of it.

5. William Eklund β€” LW/RW β€” Ottawa Senators

Rostered: 49% | Stream Rating: πŸ”₯πŸ”₯

Eklund is another player who may already be rostered in deeper leagues, but he’s worth checking because of his offensive skill and opportunity. With Ottawa playing Toronto on Saturday, this is a matchup where Eklund could provide some short-term offensive value.

The Add List Take: At 52% rostered, Eklund is right on the borderline for this article. If he’s available in your league, I’d be comfortable using him as a short-term streamer, particularly if you need offense from your wing position.

6. Anthony Mantha β€” RW β€” New Jersey Devils

Rostered: 28% | Stream Rating: πŸ”₯πŸ”₯

Mantha is another Devils forward worth considering. He’s getting an opportunity alongside Jack Hughes and Jesper Bratt, which immediately makes him more interesting from a fantasy perspective. Playing with high-end offensive talent can create scoring opportunities even for players who aren’t normally consistent fantasy contributors.

The Add List Take: Mantha is a classic streaming play. You aren’t necessarily picking him up because you expect him to become a season-long fantasy asset. You’re picking him up because his current situation gives him a chance to produce immediately.

7. Vasily Podkolzin β€” LW/RW β€” Edmonton Oilers

Rostered: 62% | Stream Rating: πŸ”₯πŸ”₯πŸ”₯

Podkolzin is one of my favorite names on this list because of his current opportunity. He’s playing alongside Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl, which is about as good a situation as a fantasy streamer can ask for. He’s had a hot start and his roster % is climbing fast. It’s worth checking to see if he’s still available in your leagues.

The Add List Take: You don’t need Podkolzin to suddenly become a superstar. If he can simply capitalize on some of the opportunities that come with playing alongside McDavid and Draisaitl ( which he’s done ), he can provide immediate fantasy value. He’s also a player I’d be watching beyond Saturday.

DEFENSEMEN

8. Luca Cagnoni β€” D β€” San Jose Sharks

Rostered: 29% | Stream Rating: πŸ”₯πŸ”₯πŸ”₯

Cagnoni might be the most interesting defenseman on this list. He’s getting top power-play exposure with Macklin Celebrini and Will Smith, giving him an extremely attractive opportunity for a player rostered in only 7% of leagues. NHL.com specifically highlighted Cagnoni as a waiver-wire option because of his PP1 opportunity and offensive-zone usage.

The Add List Take: At 7% rostered, Cagnoni should be on the radar of anyone looking for a defenseman streamer. PP1 exposure is exactly what we want to see, and his offensive upside makes him a particularly interesting Saturday play.

GOALTENDERS

9. Arturs Silovs β€” G β€” Pittsburgh Penguins

Rostered: 25% | Stream Rating: πŸ”₯πŸ”₯πŸ”₯

Silovs is an excellent Saturday streaming option, especially for fantasy managers looking for a goalie who is actually confirmed to be getting the start. The Penguins are giving him the net for their home opener against Montreal after he stopped all 19 shots he faced in Pittsburgh’s season-opening 7-0 win over Philadelphia. The matchup with Montreal is considerably more challenging than his first start against the Flyers, still, Silovs has the advantage of playing behind a Pittsburgh team that scored seven goals in its opener and generated plenty of offensive support.

The Add List Take: This is exactly the type of goalie we’re looking for in a Saturday streaming article, available, starting and coming off a shutout. Montreal presents a tougher test, so I wouldn’t expect another 7-0 result, but Silovs has enough upside to make him one of our preferred goalie streams tonight.

10. Pyotr Kochetkov β€” G β€” Carolina Hurricanes

Rostered: 26% | Stream Rating: πŸ”₯πŸ”₯

Kochetkov is the replacement for Brandon Bussi on our Saturday board. Carolina’s official game preview says Kochetkov is expected to start against Philadelphia after Bussi started the Hurricanes’ first two games on consecutive nights. NHL.com’s projected lineup also lists Kochetkov as the starter ahead of Bussi. The matchup is interesting because Philadelphia is also looking for its first win of the season, entering Saturday at 0-1-1. Carolina is also 0-1-1 and is playing the second half of a back-to-back after Friday’s 5-2 loss to Washington.

The Add List Take: Kochetkov is a pure streaming play for Saturday. The matchup isn’t without risk, especially with Carolina coming off a tough loss the night before, but the expected start makes him a much more logical option than Bussi for this particular slate.

One Last Goalie Note

Always confirm your starting goalie before locking him into your lineup. Goaltending decisions can change throughout the day, particularly with teams playing back-to-backs.

The Add List Final Word

Saturday’s 13-game schedule gives fantasy managers plenty of streaming opportunities. If you’re looking for the biggest combination of opportunity and availability, players like Marchment, Evangelista, Podkolzin and Cagnoni stand out because of their current line or power-play situations.

And if you’re chasing a goalie start, Kochetkov is now the name to watch instead of Bussi after Carolina indicated that Kochetkov is expected to get the nod.

The key with streaming isn’t always finding the next breakout star. Sometimes it’s simply identifying who has the best opportunity tonight.
