NHL Fantasy Week 2 : Weekend Streamers

NHL Fantasy Waiver Wire, October 10-11, 2026

Three teams play both Saturday and Sunday this weekend : Vancouver, Philadelphia, and Carolina. Here are 5 low-rostered players with fantasy potential from those teams to help optimize value as weekend streamer. Yes, there are 3 Canucks on this list, yes most Canucks are available on waivers.

1. Jake DeBrusk | F | Vancouver Canucks | 16% Rostered
3 GP | 2G | 1A

The timing on this one could not be better. DeBrusk missed two games with an illness earlier this week, returned to action Thursday night in Carolina, and responded by scoring twice in a losing effort against the Hurricanes. He is locked into Vancouver’s top line alongside Elias Pettersson and Jonathan Lekkerimaki on a seven-year, $5.5 million AAV contract, which means the role is not going anywhere regardless of short-term results. The Canucks play both Saturday and Sunday this weekend, doubling his streaming value. At 16% rostered, this is the most obvious pickup of the group.

2. Jackson Blake | F | Carolina Hurricanes | 47% Rostered
5 GP | 0G | 5A

Five assists and zero goals through five games tells you exactly what kind of player Blake is: a pure playmaker operating in a high-event role on a legitimate Stanley Cup contender. He is riding on the second line with Taylor Hall and Logan Stankoven, who scored a hat trick Thursday night, meaning Blake’s assists are coming in excellent company. The concern is that a five-assist, zero-goal start is inherently streaky and goal production will eventually need to come. For a weekend streamer, however, the assist pace is all you need. The Hurricanes play both Saturday and Sunday. At 47% rostered he may be claimed in your league, but if he is sitting there, add him without hesitation.

3. Matvei Michkov | F | Philadelphia Flyers | 34% Rostered
3 GP | 2G | 0A (heating up, increased ice time)

Michkov is one of the more compelling names on this list because the context around him has genuinely shifted heading into this season. He came into camp 29 pounds lighter after acknowledging he was out of shape last year, and the early-season buzz out of Philadelphia has been noticeably more positive than the preseason narrative suggested. He has two goals through five games including a power-play marker ( both goals coming in the last 3 games ), and the Flyers play Saturday in Boston before hosting Sunday. The legitimate concern is his assist total of zero and a slightly lower ATOI than analysts hoped for, but two goals and an improving role make him a worthwhile gamble for the weekend. If the ice time does increase as reported, you want him on your roster before it becomes obvious.

4. Paul Cotter | F | Vancouver Canucks | 36% Rostered
5 GP | 4G | 2A

Cotter was on last week’s waiver wire report for good reason and the production has kept coming. Four goals and six points in five games on a one-year prove-it deal with Vancouver means he is playing with the urgency of a man who understands exactly what this season means for his career. He is on the second line alongside Marco Rossi and Brock Boeser, which is a legitimate offensive deployment, and Vancouver’s back-to-back weekend schedule doubles his value as a streamer. The goal-scoring pace will cool eventually. For now, ride it.

5. Linus Karlsson | F | Vancouver Canucks | 1% Rostered
5 GP | 0G | 5A

One percent rostered with five assists in five games is the definition of a must-add for the weekend. Karlsson is on Vancouver’s third line, which limits his ceiling, but five assists from a player virtually nobody owns is exactly the kind of low-cost, high-return pickup that wins weekly matchups. He plays both Saturday and Sunday alongside the rest of the Canucks. The sample size is small and he is not a player to hold long-term, but as a weekend streamer at 1% rostered, there is no reason not to add him right now. He is free.

All five players are confirmed active for both Saturday October 10 and Sunday October 11.

Honorable Mentions include : Logan Stankoven F – CAR – 64% Rostered, Taylor Hall-F – CAR – 10% Rostered, Owen Tippett – F – PHI – 38% Rostered, Jonathan Lekkerimaki – F – VAN – 1% Rostered
