Philadelphia’s Power Forward Is Ready to Take the NHL By Storm.
Martone’s 2025/26 Stats – 9 Games – 4 goals – 6 assists – 10 pts, including 2 PPG – 2 PPA. Not to mention 2 goals, 3 assists in 10 playoff games. Not too shabby….even Gritty would approve.
Porter Martone has been in the NHL for approximately five minutes and he is already doing exactly what every scout, every analyst, and every Flyers fan hoped he would do…producing.
The Philadelphia situation is genuinely compelling for fantasy purposes. Martone will skate alongside Matvei Michkov, one of the most offensively gifted players in the league, and has already drawn comparisons to Matthew Knies and Corey Perry for his combination of size, skill, and power play presence. DobberProspects specifically noted that his addition could have an immediate impact on Philadelphia’s power play, and his 2 power play goals and 2 power play assists in just 9 games confirms that projection was accurate. He plays with an edge, generates shots, and finishes in traffic.
The risk is real and worth naming. He has nine NHL games of professional experience. A full 84-game season is an entirely different challenge from a late-season audition on a motivated roster. The adjustment period that most rookies experience is still ahead of him, and the Flyers, while improved, are not a team that will carry him through extended cold stretches. He will be asked to earn his ice time every night, especially with Rick Tocchet behind the bench.
2026–27 Projection: Porter Martone
Projection Tier: 60 to 69 Points
Expected Range: 58 to 68 Points
Floor: 50 Points
Ceiling: 70 Points
Fantasy Risk Rating: Moderate
The floor is real but so is the ceiling. At 50 points he is a useful secondary scorer on a good offensive team. At 70 points he is a legitimate top-twenty fantasy winger and one of the steals of any draft. The range reflects a player whose talent projects well ahead of his experience and whose situation in Philadelphia, alongside Michkov on one of the NHL’s most dangerous forward combinations, gives him every opportunity to reach it.
Draft him with confidence in the middle rounds. The upside is significant and the price will not reflect it for long.
